I know, I am a bit slow. My membership was approved probably 10 hours ago and I am just now getting.  around to saying hello.

I am American but have lived all over Southeast Asia for the last 30 years. The last 15 have been in Thailand where I am now retired with my wife and 20 dogs, all rescues. We just recently moved into a new house we had built that has almost an acre of land so the dogs have room to run and I have places to hide from them.

I started painting in about 1980, oils originally. A couple of years later I got transferred to Indonesia and have not really had any time to paint since then until I finally retired a few months ago. Have an outdoor studio set up and have been trying to get back in the swing of things. I attached my newest picture, 80cmx60cm, acrylic on canvas. This was a "commission" from my wife to fill a space on the living room wall. I like the picture but it shows a style I am trying to change a bit. As an engineer I cannot stop myself from putting in every detail. Trying to break that a little, I do like realistic paintings, but it is tough.

Glad to be here.

Beautiful realism!! Love the colors....I can feel the heat there!!!!

Was 90F with a humidity of about 80% today. Sweat is a way of life. It also makes acrylics dry really really fast.
