Oils on 20 x 20 inch canvas

All comments welcome. The painting is actual Prussian Blue, whicch my wife thinks is a bit too sombre. I like it. Unfortunately I couldn't get the colours looking that good so reduced it to greyscale.

I really like it a lot. It evokes some sort of mystery.

Many thanks Janet. That's what I wanted. My imagination could mostly be working a lot better. I like Katelyn Alain's paintings but would never do anything quite like her.

never lose hope. your attention to shadow/light and form are impressive. ;-)

Hi Janet, I've been ill for a while and now and want to come back, and overachiever as always let me see what can be done.

I had always been attracted to monochrome portraiture. I think they can show some special emotions that I think gets lost with color.

Jaanet, right now I'm thinking of doing a Bouguereau. It will help me get back with technique. I also have had Raif Badawi on my heart a lot. Maybe I'll do a portrait of him if I can find a good reference.

Looking forward to it ;-)

Looks great in greyscale
