Examining his Shadow?

I am a new boy here and this is my first posting. I am taking Richard's encouragement to post a recent painting. Comments very welcome.

I saw these two children on the beach at St. Ives in Cornwall and really liked their poses. The study, from a reference photo, is in oil on 6x8in canvas paper.

I just joined The Complete Artist site and was captivated by your painting of the little boy and girl.  I read all the replies to see if any of the suggestions were ones that I had thought of and how people thought the painting could be altered.

I've only been doing oil painting for a little more than a year, so I have a lot to learn.

Do you have a photo of the finished painting to share if it is no longer in your possession?

Would love to see it.
