Hi to all my new art friends -

I found Richard's painting site quite by accident, and was totally impressed with his teaching and painting style.  As for me, I am self-taught for the most part, though I am currently taking a class locally, and in real time : )  I wove baskets for many years, but found myself dabbling with watercolor and acylics when my hands got tired of weaving.  Now my focus is on the brush, primarily with oils.

I live in the Northeast Kingdom of Vermont which is an amazing place for for painting plein air though I have to learn before I wander into a meadow with my easel.  I'm hoping to gain that knowledge in class and here.  And, I look forward to the exchange of info, experiences, and expertise that comes out of forums such as this.

I'm considering the Color Theory class that Richard has made available, and from what I can see from the comments here, it sounds to be interesting and inspiring.  Just trying to decide whether it's the DVD or download.

Decisions, decisions, decisions : )  Sort of like painting.

Looking forward to starting the journey.

Cathy

P.S. - I see this must be NZ time.
