Her ancestors the Khans would have swept through China towards the east, as if the whole world was theirs to conquer. However time dilutes things and new dynasties arise. Perhaps one of her forbears was a beautiful woman, enough to marry a Han noble, a descendent of civilised kings from an age before the silk road when the bride’s ancestors may have been those early house builders at Catal Huyak.

(Catal Huyak in present day Turkey was the site a very early civilsation in that part of the world.)

I think the above is unlikely, but an interesting thought.
