I need some advice and hope somebody can assist...

I have been looking at a lot of web sites and a lot of books on "How to become a successful ARTIST" but now I am snowed under with all the information and not sure what's the best starting point.

Can somebody recommend the best starting point ?

Any advice will really be appreciated.

Thanking you in advance.
