John, I'm a horse rider as well and love your subjects. Is this painting done with oils or acrylics? Lovely painting.

I am glad you like it and thanks for asking. Yes on the horse, he is getting the most direct light so I gave him more detail. I am new to this game my self and trying to learn all I can. I am very happy with this now but might see things I do not like in a year or so when I learn more. Thanks again, John

Nice painting. I like cowboys, just don't tell my husband. ;-)
I have a question: Is the horse in the middle foreground your focal point? Just curious because he is more detailed and defined than the other figures. This question is less about your painting, and more about my ability to read a painting correctly. I like this scene.
