Great suggestions, well done!  Lovely treatment of the trees and texture on the barns - time on the brush is all it takes....and a healthy dose of passion!

Thanks again Ian. Here is the painting with changes you  thought might help and they did. Have a glass of wine on me.

Hi John welcome to complete artist you will find it very helpful and very enjoyable they are a great bunch of people. You have obviously got some talent all you have to do is keep trying and if you are like me when you get a good one you are not sure how you did it but it was fun anyhow.

Cheers Ian

Thanks for the help Ian. I see what you are seeing and will make some changes. I just started painting this year and I am self taught other then a few on line lessons so I have a lot to learn. Thanks again.

Hi Jon, fantastic subject matter nicely balances composition and the trick with the poppies outside the open gate is well done. There must be some light going into the RH shed doorway at the moment it looks like a black hole. The way you have the light falling on the front of the shed the shadow under the eve on the LH side should be narrower and the light patch on the bottom LH corner of the LH wall is distracting. Apart from that well done (May be some missing shingles in the roof)
