Wow, Betsy Thank You for your feedback.

Montalvo,

Progress is cloaked in frustration! Learning art is not for sissies! Line up your paintings in chronological order against the wall and I am sure you will see improvement. For me, improvement sometimes comes slowly and other times it comes fast, like a bolt of lightning flashes insight. But it comes, nevertheless.

I am glad to hear you are fighting to stay the course. Your voice (paintings) matters!

Montalvo, I see improvement in your work from prior workshops. Practice makes perfect, eh? Good job!

Lol...that corner gave me a challenge.

Carolyn... there's always one spot that i just can't get...and you zoned  into it.  Hmmmmm? "With your greens having the saturated color, they have become your focal point"  Wow... your right!  Im looking at the painting and see what you mean. And those two boulders..i am going to get rid of them . I had such  hard time with that corner.  Carolyn  Thank You for the feedback.

Make that the boulder at the top-mid LEFT! Crossed eyes here, lol

Very soothing, Mantalvo. These rocks and cliffs are a tricky thing! I like the boulder at the right the best. Water has good stormy movement; not quite settled after the storm has passed, subtle colors, could almost be a watercolor. With your greens having the saturated color, they have become your focal point. Maybe a little more color and cragginess in the foreground rock...would do away with the 2 twin rocks on top of it, or make them each a different size with more contrast in shadow/body color, nice job.I think you have joined the masses in having a bit of a "mid-value crisis" as Stu called it.  See you at the next workshop. Wonder what it will be??
