Mood was the main goal with this one. I didn't concentrate so much on the details of the cows or foreground, but in constantly stepping back and trying to use colors and atmosphere to create a mood. I've recently been looking at tonalism (such as Marcus Shariro's work) that is abstract and emotional. That's what Albert Beirstadt was so good at is putting a realistic scene into a tonalist abstract setting to evoke emotion. ... There is so much to learn.
