First I appreciate you for the comments. I should say that this one is a copy from an artwork by Christen Brun that I painted to learn and practice. I like the sepia tone of this too. about the inscription in the wood panelling first I thought it was a date when the door was made but then I realized it refers to the painter and the year when it was painted by Christen Brun who was Norwegian and was living from 1828 till 1905. I guess it was painted in 1869 as we see at the back. I;ll try to complete it as soon as possible. Thanks for the supportive comments.

I am intrigued by the inscription in the wood panelling at the back. Does it have some special significance?

This is very interesting. I like the brown/sepia tones they set the mood that echoes the expression of the girl. You have captured her very well. It will be interesting to see what changes you make.
