Jessica, thank you . One question, do you think I should put some earth and green growth on the top of the big rock? Because if I stand far that part looks good. but when I see it closer, there is no detail suggestion. I know I am detail oriented and I want to be looser. I am not sure should I do it or let it pass. Would like to listen to your idea.
Hi Ningning - I thought I'd commented on your painting, but I guess I missed it somehow! Maybe it was on the first one you posted! Anyway, your rock is really beautiful! I love the vibrant colour on the top & sides! And the rock in front is a nice contrast & interesting shape.
I agree with you Dorian. Learning painting like a turtel slowly but constantly without stop. Trying not pretend to be somebody better than myself. With this workshop , I just like a child go to school and have to finish my homework. Enjoy the creative ideas of my classmates and their beautiful works. Wonderful feelings. That is why I have being here for almost 2 years. Smiling ...
To be bilingual is a great gift and a lot of hard work. I am a total flunky! I have learned from reading that English is most difficult!
Now I am surrounded by many awesome artists and it is thrilling. However I must not take my self too seriously, I must go slow and easy or I will make myself sick from worry over what I cannot do!...............hugs, : ))
Thank you Dorian for your nice words about my first protrait of a rock. My original painting is more cheerful and lighter than this photo. The more I learn the more difficult to paint. When I first learned some English, I told myself Wow, I know a lot of words of English. And then, I learned more English and found myself on a small island surrounded by the ocean of English. Now, I have the same feeling about painting. Endless things waiting for me to learn how to paint them .
Excellent work Li........Smiles coming your way.............: ))
Ok....,got it.
I actually have trouble taking photos of my paintings I did not have time to go outside and take a picture of my canyon painitng in the shade, I think I will try and get a better one. It has some reflection on the top, the painting was still wet when I took the photo.
David, The bridge is red. As you pointed it out. And you are so right. Even it is in the distaince and against the sun light, it should be have some redish element on the bridge. But my photo looks like a blueish purple grey and dark that is why I feel sorrow . Maybe, different monitors have different colour. Thank you again for your suggestions, David.
I added with david ...
looks good to me :) I don't understand why you are apologizing. You have nothing to be sorry about.
