Jon, I am sorry. I mean the value of the side part of the rocks at the foreground can be a bit darker. It would give more contrast of light and shadow as I see it.

Jon, although you did not spend a lot time on it, it was down very well. You always combine the colour in a very natural and harmonized degree. This in no exception. I enjoy this painting for its colour and texture of the water and of the rocks, especially the rocks at the midground. The value of the foreground rock , if I were you, could be a bit darker.  Just an idea. The perspectives are very well done too. Great Job!!!

Thanks, Michael. There're a lot of possibilities with that example/subject from Richard - but I didn't want to spend more time on it - I prefer to do a subject not painted by Richard as well - otherwise I'd spend soooooo much time experimenting!!!
