Wow Michael, So much THANKS for the comment! I am so glad that you point out the tree issue. I wasn't very happy with it too. For some reason, I started use more ochre instead of yellow pale to make the tree color made the tree too warm. Your comment encouraging me to try a studio version. I really appreciate your comment Michael!

Hi Laura.  I really like the way you are handling color and value!!! ..I love your nice temperature shifts in your cloud forms......staying with the same value, but changing the temp. ...excellent!  Your distant mountains and boats are very atmospheric and really keep their places in the picture planes.  I like the way you made your boats look brighter by painting them along side the shadow and against the backdrop mountains....very nice!!  I also love the way you brought some of the sky color down into the water.  My ONLY criticism would be the shape of your tree mass ...think of making good shapes with everything ..especially a large mass such as those trees.  Also, it would not hurt to cool your tree darks a little as the mass recedes away from us.  That whole tree mass, although quite close, still is receding back in successive planes ..and thus would not be the same value or temperature as the closer trees.  Anyway, just keep those ideas in your mind for next time. :))
