Nice one Stu I do agree with Michael however I like the way you have used multi colours in the folds of the sail also the reflections in the water are well done.
Thanks, Michael! This is a terrible photo that I took inside my garage during the storm yesterday, and I shouldn't have even posted it, but I had no more light to take another. There is actually more color and warmth in the actual painting; but perhaps not popped enough in regard to the sail. I am down in Tulare for 2 weeks covering for a surgeon and don't have the painting with me, but I will take another photograph and repost a better photo when I get back home on the 23rd (weather permitting)!
Not to bad Stu!! ... Would like to see the sail "pop" a little more with color. The color and value of the sail is the same as the background building ... making the sail not very important. On top of that, the fact that it is not important looking, makes us look for something more important .... the white sail on the right edge!! .. it has now become the most important object in the painting. So just a matter of popping that sail out a little more.
