Oil on canvas 12"x12" Using compliments red violet and yellow green. Let me say right off this has given me a headache; literally and figuratively, working this combination of colors...which means it was probably the most beneficial!. There are a number of things I could still play with, but, well, that headache says enough already! Next I hope to do a quieter one of my choice. I would name this "Nightmare In Prescott" *laughing...sorta*

Yes, Carolyn. It makes me feel like doing this painting again in much vibrant colours. Maybe I'll sneak one in.

True, Robin. However no one has had the courage to criticize me! (They must know that I wound easily and feel deeply...) ah well, onwards to growth. Your work is so consistently fabulous, you aren't in tooooo much danger, my friend.

It does take courage to "experiment" and put yourself out there for criticism!

Thank you Maria, I prefer the first one in Richard's color's but the real challenge is this one. Pretty interesting. We just have to keep on keeping on and appreciate the progress so yes! Applauding all of us in this journey together. (Interesting to me how many of my friends have mentioned "brave" or "courage" regarding this color study! Fun.

Don't know about posting the poem, have to try to write it out and that means remembering it, something about the desert cactus turning to water etc. lol. And Dor, you are just the best encourager! Good luck on the violet and green, believe me, it is custom made to induce migraines so do consider that carefully.

Well, what's not to love about this painting? Wish I had time to do a red violet and yellow green.  Bravo for your braveness!  Smiles rushing your way Carolyn : ))

Carolyn, we are also hear to listen, or better read your poem!!!! :)! Hope you share it! Your palette is so neat and beautiful! Not even at the very beginning mine is so nice and neatly placed! And better not talk about the way in which it ends!

It Is a brave and very interesting painting Carolyn!

Yes, Jessica, this gal gets a little strange with her humour  at times. I actually had a poem that was generated by this painting...and I'm not a poet! lol!
