and Adrienne.  I've got a very soft hair No. 12 Neef 470 Indian Sable Long flat brush and I use it dry to lightly lose edges where needed. I've never used acrylics so you would have to try it yourself.  It's good to use if you want to push things into the background.  I hope this helps and good luck with your painting journey

love it!! so pretty how everything is out of focus except what you want the viewer to focus on. im new to painting.  how do you achieve this look?? can i do it with acrylics?
