Dawn in the Gentle Land is from a journey in the South Island of New Zealand. This is Lake Hawea and my third painting of this lake all of which are now sold. I came around a corner and saw this lake and it just was one of those Wow moments and you know you have to painting it.

Lorna, your treatment of the reflections on the water is amazing, I've never been to NZ but I can see what I'm missing.

wowow this is really pretty! So calm! you water is so well painted, it's very believable, great job on capturing that warm humid atmospheric effect as well!
