oil on 12 x 12 canvas. This was done on a color background - red oxide - which was a darker red. After studying Richard's blog about a colored background which would enhance color harmony, I decided to really challenge myself. I picked the color based on the barn and really wrestled with it. I rather learned alot from this.

Thanks Richard for your comments and your suggestions - about the horizon and keeping a clean brush. I am learning so much , things I have never even given a thought to. I look forward to even more insights.

Hawaii - it's my most favorite place, I go at least every two years. I would live there if I could. Thanks for  the e-book, although it does make me miss Hawaii. Last year I went to the big island and was just gaga over how nature was creating new land! Ta-Da...
