Thanks Jim,  I think I need a course on brushes (in addition to everything else having to do with painting)!  I usually put the photo up in an app to edit, then there is a grid on it, and then sketch it in from there.  I'm at least a bit better at drawing than painting!

Hi Candi, mostly I used a #6 brush and a palette knife on most of the highlights. I also used the grid method to transpose it to a 8" x 10" format. Hope this help.

Just saved Richard's resource photos, and looks like I can't go with a square canvas, but still curious about the size brush you used on a smaller canvas!

Jim, just curious, what brush size did you use?  (I am trying to decide whether to go with a 10 x 10 canvas that i have, or go out and get a 16 x 16)
