Nice painting Mario! I like the brushwork and simplification of the horse in particular.

Good Morning all ...it is now 3:30am!! ..having coffee and looking at this nice painting.  Betsy, looking at the direction of the shadows,  the light source ..I believe, is coming from the front and just off to the right? ...The light glow would be dust particles glowing in the light? ..anyway, that is how I am reading it (at 3:35am ..with coffee).  Mario, very nice painting ...the only thing I would suggest is to get rid of the post above the horses left ear ...it is confusing ..it gives the horse ..donkey ears.  Okay, my friend, going back to sleep!!!

Betsy, thanks for your comments, as the photo, there is only one side of the horse ligth.,maybe dust particles reflect other ligths....truth not thought on that..thanks again for your time.

Hi, Mario,
I am enjoying looking at this painting. I LOVE the yellow light! And you did a pretty good job on the horse anatomy. My question is about the light on the horse. I see you chose a complimentary color to the yellow and I like that. I try to think like that, too (although your paintings are more advanced than mine). But, are there two light sources? It seems like the lit side of the horse should be darker, if the light is behind him. Not sure about this. It's just a question that crossed my mind as I was looking at this, and I thought I would ask about it.
