Kim, how lovely.  The lights lead into the painting, the mistiness of the buildings takes one back and the softness of the red which we know is a double-decker, plus as Michael and Ann say the figures which are there, but not really seen - all lead to a wonderful painting of Eros. Looks like early morning to me.  do love your work.

Wow, I am amazed that you can do such great figure work. They populate your scene and add to it not distract from it. I'll look up the adj. amorphous to see if I agree with Michael. Its a good word I often find myself resorting to comic book expressions when commenting LOL

You have really captured the busy activity with your amorphous figures.  It is obvious that we do not know who these people are ..they are in our visual and mental periphery ...going about their business.  We (the viewer), are concentrated on the fountain! ..which is, I noticed, right on the golden section. You have painted this like how the eye sees!!  Kim, If I had painted this painting, unfortunately, I would probably have painted the figures with more detail then how the eye really sees it ....and it would not have been a successful painting like this!!!
