Biggest challenges: finding the right colour for the background - no fiddling and when to stop!

Lovely and warm Annie, and deft loose brushstrokes and paint application. I like how you've moved it on from sunrise to later in the day by warming up the background...
This is lovely Annie!
Thanks girls. I watched Richard's video a few times - that helped! With this one I found the definite difference between foreground and background saturation/tone made it easier - and I think its the first painting I've done where I have (more or less) put the colour on and left it (except the background where I made the colour too cold the first time.) Dors keep going - you'll be fine - there are always a few Gobi deserts to pass through on the journey! And smiles back to you...!
Me again...............looking to see how you did it..........I just am having a terrible time, how can something so seemingly simple be so hard for me to do.........???? I will try again tomorrow................. Smiles to you dor:))
Great job ! I like the warm foreground rock tower. It looks like you could reach out and feel the warmth of the rocks.
Love your confident brushwork in this Annie. I can feel the warmth of the afternoon sunlight radiating from the rocks.
You're encouraging Dors - thanks:)
Had to come look again.........This is awesome..........: ))
Thankyou
