Yes Dorian, the Gesso board is very smooth and causes your strokes to be different. Have fun trying it ( =

Such warmth! A beautiful Grizzly.  I just google gesso board.  Now that I am back, ready to paint again I must give it a try!  Smiles Christine :-)

Maybe it helps the brush to slide the paint around because it is smooth.    Smiles Christine :-)

I used gesso board for this and it really pushes me to be looser with my brush work for some reason, I have really enjoyed working on them each time I have used them.

Thank you Jon. I really loved the intense coloring here. One of the few times I knew ahead of time exactly where I wanted to take this.
