Hi Richard, thank you so much! Yes the photo is greyer and lighter thnk the painting. I'd say it's between your photo and mine. Sorry for taking so long to comment back, i kept trying to but for some reason it would lock up and not let me add my comment here or one the workshop. I finally did send an email, hoping that got thru. ☺️ Jess

Hey Jess, pretty nice!!   Your values, edges, drawing, and color all look great.  Great illusion of form on those rocks!!! ... love the reflected light you put into them.   I like the way you lightened the value of the background cliff as it goes behind the foreground rocks .... it gives the illusion of overlapping and depth quite nicely. Good work!
