Richard, You paint fast you paint loose you paint often and you experiment, and every so often you come up with this...a winner. If this is a study I can see a picture in portrait shape with emphasis on the open passage way between the trees. It smacks of grapes wine and loose living. I would love to see your interpretation of this as a further finished larger work, with fauns girls baskets and intoxicated merriment. Funny but when I mentally remove the grey passages it doesn't work nearly as well, aha, Terry
