Oil on linen. From my recent trip to England and Holland. Trying to catch the morning sun with the mist still in the valleys.
Thought I had better post a new picture after being chastised by Ruby for being absent for a while - thanks Ruby.

Thanks Silke, Rajesh and Silvana.
I admit maybe I should have had the gate open, as Joy suggested, but on the other hand I liked the 'mystery' of the tantalising, but inaccessible, glimpse of the field through the closed gate. What's right or wrong ... who knows?
Very nice Lawrence! Really wonder what there is beyond...
You captured the morning atmosphere very well.
I love the mood an the color harmony!
Thank you Maria.
I do like your soft edges Lawrence which bring your foreground forward nicely. Love your soft colours
Aargghh! Of course Joy! Why didn't I think of that? That would have been better. It would also help explain why there are no sheep to be seen - they would have escaped through the open gate! :-)
Thanks Ruby (no, of course there was no chastising! I was delighted to get your message. Thanks again)
Thanks Candi. I'm afraid you'll have to see it on Facebook again this weekend - but with my usual additional chatter!
And thanks Jessica, I appreciate your comments.
Wonderful atmosphere! Beautiful painting!
Lovely, you so captured the atmosphere of a segment of the English countryside. Just beautiful!!! Agree with Ruby on the moss!
