First painting since moving to Kingman Az. Kingman is rich with settings like this. Any of you out there live any where near Kingman an need some one to paint with, let me know.

Comment by Linda L. Kano on August 31, 2015 at 8:49: Ernie, welcome to Kingman, AZ. My husband and I live in a small community of Meadview,AZ which is about an hour away. Lots of canyons and washes. We have a RZR and ride the trails, mostly studing the landscape and taking photos to paint at home...although I've painted a little (not successful paintings) on location. Right now I'm working on a painting I'm calling Canyon's End...actually the end of the Grand Canyon located out by an old airstrip. Struggling with values because the rocks and desert values are too close to make good paintings. But I'm persistent...someday I'll get it right. It looks like you've developed your own unique style and doing it very well. It would be interesting to see what you would do with this same canyon scene. That's the benefit of painting in a group. We need to find some others who ard interested as well.
