Hi Deirdre.  Beautiful work on the Bluebells .. cool and warm violets ... some cool greens .. nice.  Your background, though, comes forward ... because of the intense yellow/green ... which really clashes with those tints and shades of blue violets.  I think a transition tone like ...violet and then lay in cooler greens on that, would have gave given better unity to your painting.  Think about avoiding straight line placement of you trees both across the picture plane and into the picture plane.  A few color notes from the other side of the wheel might be appropriate? The repetition and dominance of your cool colors, needs a little variety .. some warm colors.  Repetition and dominance with variety ... equals ... harmony and unity.
