Thanks Lori, I am so glad you liked it. Tertiary colors are just all the primary and secondary colors on the color wheel. I read a thing that said it was a good color combination for landscapes. So I gave it a try. I like it too. (Primary colors are red, blue, yellow and secondary colors are what you get when you mix the primarys....blue and yellow make green, etc) I appreciate your looking and taking the time to comment. Ro

a favourite! So beautiful. "tertiary" colours? Sounds scary but the outcome is beautiful

Sharon, Yes that is Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Park. We visit there often as we have relatives in Montrose and Grand Junction. Have you been there? Ro

Flavio, go look at this http://thecompleteartist.ning.com/photo/morning-light?context=user and scroll down. You can see a more normal page where I mix the colors before hand. The teal green on the mid ground trees on the right came from seeing the mixes. I also used very limited pallets of cool or warm colors and maybe only R/Y/B. This is what I was doing by my self trying to "figure out color" on my own. I later found 2 courses, and the one I am working on now is with RR. Richard Robinson. Have you found his youtube videos. He has some great ideas. The only one I can think of at the moment is infused light. Great effect! Ro
