Wedding Flowers

Wedding flowers by Sharon Repple 14 x 11 acrylic I tried again to do a painting in the style of Daniel Keys. I think this one is better and I love some of the effects achieved this time. I would love to hear your comments

Comment by Ann Turner on September 19, 2013 at 15:50: Hi Sharon, like your flower painting. The Hydrangeas are a little too similar in size and position. The whole arrangement seems to fit inside a box made of the sides of the painting. I think it would help to make some elements go off the sides or top of the painting to avoid the boxed in feeling. The colors and values of the flowers are very nice and lead the viewer around the painting to enjoy the variety of shape and color.

The ONLY thing ..and I mean ONLY ....is the two MUMS? share the same importance and each are equidistant from each other and the edges of the picture, they are also the same size. Try to find a way to make one of these less important.
