Another Southwestern. I took this photo of this little old house in Old Mesilla awhile back, decided to add the sign and a hint of cactus to perk it up a bit. 9 x 11 Water Soluble Oils.

Ah, I see. Hope it goes well with the coasters or cards, or whichever way you go.
No Lawrence, I don't do ceramics (one of my friends does though, Denise Ford). I decided to work on a series of paintings of a little ceramic Mexican guy with a sombrero I have in my yard . Paint him with various backgrounds, check out my page and you'll see them. I've gotten some quotes from a few different companies on having coasters made of the paintings.
Good on you Candi. Ceramics as well? .... sounds like you probably don't need a kiln, just stick them outside in the sun for a while! Geez, that's a lot of hot weather!
Thanks Lawrence! These little paintings I do, are a bit commercial, I'm gearing towards the tourist market we get here in Las Cruces (and Old Mesilla) at our Farmer's Market. It's advertised as one of the largest, and best, in the country. Thinking of doing prints and cards of some of these, especially my little Mexican ceramic guys. Thought it might be a good idea to try to bring a little cash in so I can afford to keep buying all the supplies I keep ordering! Thinking of doing the market whenever it cools down here! We've had 99 straight days over 90 degrees, today is day 100 and our forecast is 89!
This is an interesting painting Candi. I rather like it.
Thanks Charles!!!
You have captured the spirit of the Southwest.
