Thank you so much for your nice comment summer. If you will look below on this page (Comment by Roena King on September 25, 2010 at 3:37am ) I put in a copy of my color studies colors. I have started making a sheet of thick inexpensive WC paper with my colors (doing color theory studies) and then mixing them all together so I can see beforehand what colors might be there. The mid ground tree color was discovered after looking at those mixes. I appreciate you looking and then commenting very much. Ro

Thanks Christiana, This is all palette knife for the sky. Wipe the knife often, and make sure the color is moving only in the direction you want it to go. I was working with the knife so much I flet that I was never going back to a brush as the knife was so easy. he he Ro

Thank you very much Valerie. Glad you liked it. We actually went back to this spot again this last summer. It had changed! The trees and bushes grew up next to the stream.........I did not think it was pretty at all now! So glad I had past years photos. Ro

Sanuel, after a 30+ year layoff from painting and only a year or so ago starting back, I could not remember anything. I was trying to teach myself color theory and what colors mixed would do so I started laying out my chosen colors and pre mixing them on a paper to see what was there to work with. I was really pleased with the green color that I painted the mid ground trees on the right. The limited palette made the colors go together better too I thought. This is a split complementary color scheme using only cool colors. Glad you liked it. Ro
