I was captivated by the early light on this wave on a recent week away to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary.Just around the rocks from here were a dozen or more surfers having a ball, but I came back to see the early sun peaking through the waves .Loved it and had to try a capture hope you like the results cheers nigel

Your water and wave is spectacular. I will say no more, it has already been said.......smiles to you : ))
amazing....
Hi Nigel. You rendering of the breaking wave and foreground water is awesome! I love the way you softened the background sea to bring the wave into dominance ...but, your foreground rock destroys everything you worked for in making the wave dominant. In my opinion (not worth a heck of a lot), your rock is much to detailed, taking attention from the wave. The color of the rocks might be a little too saturated and does not relate to the water. The shape of the rock (boring triangle) takes my eye right off too the right with no way of getting my eye to the focal point. I would (if I painted this) simplify the rocks (less cracks), relate it to the water, and take the lower right rocks out and replace with water and tracery foam leading us back to the wave. As it is now, I do not know what you want me to look at, the rock or the wave? ...they both share the same dominance ...something has to give here? Hope you do not mind me saying this, but it was such a nice painting, I was compelled to do so.
