No problem, Ruby. This is a construction product that is flexible and available at places like Home Depot. Especially important, it's paintable.

Deb sorry about the ignorance but what do you mean by an "elasto-patch" to build texture?

Lori. I use an elasto-patch to build a texture before painting. I am hooker on the look. I decided that I would prefer a completely glass smooth surface of a canvas texture. Sometimes I use a knife and other times a really lousy small rough paint brush from WalMart.

Hey Deb...can you comment on your support/canvas? Are the textures I see due to gesso or is that the way you've applied the paint?
