Very pretty. These are one of my favorite flowers. We got to visit an iris farm in Hondo, New Mexico, last summer. The flowers were beautiful. I have some of my photos to share if you are interested in having others to paint from. Let me know. http://hondoirisfarm.com/ This is a link to their website with lots of pretty photos. Ro

Thank you Richard. Yes, I had great fun with this one. One afternoon, alone in my apartment, with no interruption - it came and I could feel it ! Not that I have been doing a lot of painting, but sometimes one can feel that things are not right. In this case I felt good and I was free :) I have had one lesson last Tuesday in this art school. I hope I will learn a lot and maybe I can show you a nice picture in the end.
I often use my fingers when I'm painting, but never used a rag. I will try it later and I will ask in the shop what a blender brush is next time I go shopping for art prod.

This one looks great Snjólaug! I can see you really have had fun with this one and let it flow. Would like to see more in this style. Beautiful. Keep it going! Have you tried using a rag or a blender brush? Works nice sometimes in soft backgrounds like these.
