This is about 15km from my house and only a short hike down from the road.
It was my first trip out this year and although I had hoped to paint outside it proved too chilly for these old bones (also wet underfoot) and I chickened out and took some photos.
As well as the absolute stillness what was striking was the blue and orange colours which I focussed on at first but gradually subdued

Yes Jessica I am very lucky.. With Mountains Lakes and woodland nearby and the sea only an hours drive I am almost as lucky as Richard! So I have no excuse not to produce landscapes.
The National Park is closed to motor traffic so it is very peaceful but does involve a bit of a Hike.
Olivia, this is such a wonderful painting - so much to look at & enjoy in it - gorgeous colour, atmosphere, sunlight....! How wonderful to live so close to such beauty!
