16 x 20 Acrylic on Gallery Wrap Canvas. I painted this after a visit to Vancouver Island where we visited Pacific Rim National Park. The shoreline is beautiful there.

Thanks Charles!
This is wonderful painting. Magnificent.
Thanks Sandi! Such nice compliments.
Beautiful work - great composition, lovely balance of lights and darks, super understanding of light source and love the bubble details
thanks as you can see I like the challenge of birds as you do rocks. But I would like to master these rocks some day.
Thanks so much Diane! I really enjoy putting on lots of layers so that they take on a 3 dimensional appearance. I notice from your paintings that you have seagulls mastered. I find birds tricky because you have to get the proportions right - they are a lot more finicky than rocks.
So so clever Rocks are my nemesis Tammy I have looked and looked and mine are a very poor excuse compared to your beauties.:)
Thanks Mario. I used to want to be able to paint in a looser style, but I have finally come to terms with the fact that I am happiest painting in a realistic style. We are what we are....
Super !! I thought it was a photo .....looks amazing
Thanks Maria. I do really enjoy painting rocks and I especially like to add all the little fractures and weathering features to them. I have also found that I enjoy painting them in water.
