Jane, Linda and Silvana thank you for your comments.  I was commissioned to paint "Lady", a King Charles Spaniel, by my friends who absolutely dote on her!  The photo I took and painted this from shows her looking up at her master.  It was funny by the time I'd finished the painting I felt I knew every whisker and hair on her face and the next time I went to my friends' place Lady had been taken for clipping - I immediately felt the painting needed amending!  It's watercolour on 300g Arches hot pressed paper.

Ahhh!!.... This dog "Lady" reminds me of my cocker spaniel" April" many years ago! She also had buff color fur...
like Lady....She looks so real!... Fay! Wonderful!!
