Thanks for comment Richard, you are right, I think the underpainting had dried and I glazed other colours on top, will try again. I did this one before the quick studies and yes certainly a bit anxious!!

Looks like you got a little more anxious about this one than with the quick studies. Powerful colour combo and a nice image, but could have more realism. Looks to me like the medium you were using was maybe a little sticky? Dried to fast? Add a touch of walnut or linseed oil to it to give yourself more time. Could be wrong, often am.
