This is my youngest daughter Maebh on her wedding morning last April. She and her husband are returning home to Ireland to celebrate their first anniversary.in 3 weeks time.I dont do portraits but thought Id give it a go as a surprise gift. To make it easier I tried to think tonally and just used burnt umber and sienna.

For not doing portraits, you really captured your lovely daughter with that bridal glow on her face. Bet she loved
this wonderful gift.
This is beautiful!
Just saw this one, Olivia - it's really beautiful - wouldn't change anything on it if I were you! It looks great!
Wonderful work Olivia, she is beautiful and you did a great job! I know she will love it!
Cheers!
Thank you Silvana ,Michael and Linda. Now that i see it posted I can see a lot of faults.Im not managing the tones very well. Area to the right of her mouth too dark.Needs more tweaking.
Its just that having got a likeness Im afraid of losing it. I lost it twice already and struggled to get it back.
Mouth area seems to be a big problem.
Its always not a good thing if a painting becomes precious and you get nervous of changing things in case you make things worse.
Beautiful Olivia!! ....great gift!!
BEAUTIFUL!!!! I'm sureshe'll be extremely happy!
