This study was painted from a black and white photo of Sargent's painting - not too happy with the sail color - study with Richard was more successful.  What a wonderful local - I checked on the internet and found that this villa is a hotel at this time, and a room with a water view is about $500 per night - lucky Sargent - rich and a great artist!
