I paused the trailer and took photos then mixed and matched until I was happy with the design. Lots of difficulty getting a good quality photo. The color is never exactly how I want it

No I didn't get photos elfrida, Thats why am getting help tomorrow.I think your dark's are beautiful. The only time I use black is to mix 3 values and use those for notans and sometimes when laying in a small study. I use the ShinHan oils exclusively and they have such a beautiful variety of warm and cool greys in their set of 36 plein air oil paints that I don't use black anymore in finished pieces.
Wow!,.... well done Elfrida. The painting have good value and I like your brushwork :)
Jim, Did you get a photo before they sold. I would love to see them. I am messing around with the dark color and will see if Richard can give us a little chat on "blacks".
Good job, I hear you on the photos. I am going down to Boise in the morning for a one on one lesson for taking photos of artwork.
I have done three studies for this workshop and all have sold off the easel so will try one more else the chicks will become geese.
Beautiful painting, Elfrida I love your loose style, it's great. I love the chickens and how they rummage around in the sun. I still have to start mine, but due to problems with the internet, I didn't start. Hopefully I still have time enough, to finish my try on this workshop ^_^.
Lovely painting. Hope to start mine today as well.
