:-) Yeah that flying bird was my favorite bit - 3 lucky strokes on a par 5. That makes it an eagle!

Thanks Gail.Yes the palette was just ultramarine blue, burnt sienna, cad yellow light and titanium white. Nice and simple for my brain.

Hi Richard,
I would have to agree with Jeffery - it does have a nice watercolor feel to it; but it is the light on the gull's head and chest along with the little bit of reflected light on the underside of its face that really catch my eye. Need I say superb limited palette! :-))

I love birds Richard. This is one of my favourite paintings on this site. I know it is an oil but it has a lovely watercolour feel to it too.
