Thanks Charles!  If you have time check out The Let's Paint New Mexico site, or the blog on F.B., kind of interesting to see how the different artists interpret the photos that we are all given to paint.

Hi Candi, I love your rich warm colours and the movement in your composition. Very inspiring.

Thanks Michael! I've had a meltdown latey, but my mentor told me to work on warms and cools, and take my watercolors out to do quick studies.  She kind of pulled me out of the doldrums.

No,but I would love to meet Thomas one of these days! Thomas (I think) is in Las Vegas, near Albuquerque, I am in the southern most part of NM, Las Cruces. Maybe if he comes down this way, or I get up that way!  I really admire his work.

Oh, BTW Candi,  I realize New Mexico is a large state, but do you ever run into Thomas wezwic when you are out there painting.?  It's a long shot, just curious.

Wow Candi! Very nice. I especially love the luminosity in your shadows. Very good job with your values also. These two items have been problematic in your painting, but I have noticed very much improvement in your recent postings ... a tribute to your dedication. On your foreground shadow, you might want to extend it up into the grassy area .. it looks kind of .... staged ... when it miraculously stops right at the edge of the grass. Very, very good job on your painting.
