Oil on stretched canvas. Well... I have stretched that canvas and it turned out to 'unstretch'.... wonder if that happens to you and how you deal with it!
A friend of mine loves daisies and decided to paint this for her to hang in her new home.
Any comments and critiques welcome for improving my work.. I'm getting rusty... must start painting aagain a bit more!!!

I'll keep that in mind Michael!! Thank you!! I'm glad you liked it!!!
Thanks a million Lori, Sharon, Adrienne!!
Beautiful painting!
Beautiful Silvana! ... I like the bottom photo a lot!! Kind of nullified some things I was going to mention with the original photo. Anyway, love the background .. they compliment your flowers very well. In future flower paintings, though, try to avoid putting a large 1/2 cropped flower , or anything, in the corner. Think size dominance . as in your middle daisy is the largest, so the other 2 maybe could be different sizes ... the mama, papa, baby thing. Think of it this way: the star of the play is the middle daisy, but the daisy at the lower corner is peeking out of the curtains and saying ... Hey, look at me!!! The technique I use to subordinate a flower from the rest, is to paint the background, and then wipe out the non essential flower, and then paint back into the smudge with the background color and then put the lights on top. Try to think of 2 values in the light, and 2 values in the darks. But don't change anything on this one ..... it still looks very good and you kind of escaped the bullet. Something to think about for the next painting!!!! :)))
Thank you Jess!!!
You've made my day Pauline and Candi!!! I think I will sign it . :)
Oh! Like this even better Silvana!
Your petals are lovely Silvana , very natural looking - If your painting is more like the one below I think its stunning and i wouldn't change a thing - your friend will love it, I certainly would!
