Pauline; I agree on the portrait orientation, at least for this type of landscape i.e. majestic mountain vistas, waterfalls...I tend to prefer landscape for the meadows, rolling hills and such. Thank you for your kind words...loving that "in spades!" :*) So much to learn, looking forward to training my eye outside!

This is looking very good Carolyn, i love landscapes done in a portrait style i think it gives so much strength of design and this painting certainly has that in spades! :-}}
