I can see why it sold quickly John. You have your own style and it's lovely. Oh! and I do like the deer picture below. You could pop him in a painting sometime.

As for loosening up, I'm trying to do the same. But my work ends up looking sloppy. You might do better with your more developed drawing/visual skills.

Wow! That deer is awesome. We are overrun by deer here in Virginia. What kind of deer is that? I've never seen a rack like that. Very interesting. Love it very much.

Thanks for asking Betsy. I want to change things up a bit and try more of Richards lessons. I love his style and hope I can do justice to it. The lose brush strokes are hard for me after 30 years of carving life like duck, song bird and big game animals. My eye for detail gets in the way at times. This is one of my wood carvings.

You have a distinct style that involves sharpness throughout the painting. Obviously, this works for you, if you are selling your work so quickly. It's good to have an audience of collectors that like your work.

Where do you want to go next with your art? Just curious because I ask myself the same question. I sell stuff, too. But I am not sure that I want to keep painting the same way. But it sells! What a quandary!
