graphite, 8" x 10" - I went through the book called Drawing on the Right Side of the Brain. This is one of the exercises for ellipese. My cup, saucer, and material for this study.

Hi Roger, Thank you. I am glad you enjoyed my graphite. I have not done much really, but I did learn a lot in the book. Mostly how to turn on at will the right brain and ignor the left brain. Have you ever seen the book? It is really good, and she teaches you so many tricks. I think you already draw pretty well so you might just give it a try. Set something up and "pay attention, talk to yourself (he he), and constantly compare the lines to the other lines or edge of the paper. You should try, I bet you can do it. Ro

Ro, the detail/illusion on the cloth is just great... I would love to learn that and use it in my paintings. Great work.

Thank you Elizabeth. I did learn something pretty important while doing this. If you draw very lightly and do your shading lightly, you can actually erase and totally change things without it showing! I changed the oval of the cup and saucer several times. No, now that I think about it, I learned that on the thumb on the drawing with my hand holding the banana. LOL Now I don't remember if I have put that drawing in my gallery here. If not, I will some day. Ro
