Beautiful mountains and water. I would agree with Roena on the light on a couple of the trees mid forefround, left side. Apart from that - very nice.

Good for you Remegino. Sounds like you actually experienced the scene first hand! I'll give you 5***** for obtaining first hand knowledge. (he he - smile) Ro

Thanks Ro for appreciating this artwork. You really have the eye of a good artist. The idea here is that since it's twilight, the sun is already below the horizon. It casted a diffused light above on the clouds making it very colorful. That is right, the saturated color above horizon should have been reflected and carried the color on the snow on the mountain. The highlight on the tree trunks are made by the illuminated clouds or the sky and the luminousity of the water, but not by the sun as evidenced by the highlight on the tree trunk on the left side of the painting. The leaves of the foreground tree at mid and lower are sparse. You can see through it. Thanks Ro for your very enriching comments.

That is one beautiful sky. The mountains look very good and rugged. Good distance in the trees across the water and the reflections on the back water look good. With that much color in the sky and on the reflections on the water, you could have some of the same colors where the bright light hits the snow also. My thinking is the sun is coming from the left since all the snow that shows is pointing in that direction. The tree on the left below the light colored leaves has the highlight as if the light was coming from the right. The foreground tree has the highlight on the left which would appear to be correct. The very top of the foreground green tree is the best part as I do not feel like I can see through it. The mid and lower part of the leaves are "to perfectly spaced" and I can see through the tree leaves to the background. I would suggest grouping a few sections of the leaves to make some clumps. That would help the tree to not be able to see through it, and make the leaves be more irregular. Nature is messy. You did a really nice painting. Again......I love the sky! Ro
